A Nigerian voice in a global conversation.
The International Law Association was founded in Brussels in 1873. Its work brings together people interested in public and private international law and the furtherance of international understanding.
The Nigerian Branch was founded in 2014, with Professor Fidelis Oditah, KC, SAN, as its pioneer President. The Branch was formally inaugurated by the Chief Justice of Nigeria at a public ceremony on 28 October 2014.
Today, ILA Nigeria provides a forum for scholarship, professional exchange and public dialogue. Its work connects international law with the questions facing Nigeria and the wider world.
